Inhabitants of Mautu in Fako division of the southwest region say Cameroonian soldiers have killed at least five civilians Thursday, August 13th, 2020.
A resident speaking on the basis of anonymity told Mimi Mefo Info on the phone that “the military came to the village on their way to Muyuka village and started shooting on people indiscriminately. Many ran to the bushes before the arrival of the soldiers”

According to our informant, the soldiers were furious while searching for the supposed killers of Comfort Tamasong brutally butchered by unidentified boys in Muyuka Tuesday this week.
This was after a local pastor hoisted the flag used by separatist fighters, proclaiming freedom for them.
“The Pastor of the Church that was praying for Ambazonia Independence; he survived the military attack and has been arrested,” a source tells MMI.
The Pastor, the source adds, was arrested with several others.
